  1. These are the very areas where I planted 150,000 in the 1970s, inappropriate monocrop Coniferous trees for BC Forest Companies. Most of this wood is cultivated for Pulp of which most is used for Toilet paper. The 1st Nation model is one of mixed Coniferous mostly nut & fruit trees such as Oak & Cherry, even some northern Hazelnut bush kinds, mixed with massive Beaver dams, ponds & lakes, which retard any forest fires from spreading. 1st Nation Terra-Preta regular undergrowth pre-burns under the productive Deciduous trees, also made uncontrolled fires rare & enriched Poly-Culture Orchard tree, bush, vine, herb & vegetable crops massively. We need to turn to 10s of 1000s of years of the real 'indigenous' (Latin 'self-generating') knowledge & science in order to understand how to manage our biosphere. Here's one article on indigenous Orchard-Food-Production-Efficiencies, effects on Climate, Water-flow, an increase of 100 fold in better quality food, materials, energy & water-cycle. Polyculture empowers a decentralized biosphere-centered fractal humanity to live, harvest & thrive in abundance, empowered with life. https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity/a-home/1-indigenous-welcome-orchard-food-production-efficiencies
