  1. Stephen Hume's comments are so factual and accurate. I have witnessed the decliner of our fishery since my arrival on the West Coast in 1974. The most significant deterioration began in 1996 and continues to this day, politicians fiddle while our precious fish and it's natural environment burn. I have no doubt that our leadership deficient Prime Minister, Mr. Trudeau, will claim that those decisions are made in the interest of preserving jobs. This near-sightedness will soon eliminate our salmon and the related fishery jobs, to be followed by both the sports fishing and tourist economy. Should we be prepared to see Government sponsored commercials for contaminated, foreign, farm fish? We need to make changes if we are to save our planet, our environment and our fish, WHERE DO WE START? NOEL MURPHY SQUAMISH STREAMKEEPER,
