Glass artist Lisa Samphire has been creating innovative and expressive works in glass since 1985. Throughout her distinguished career, she has continued to refine and expand her practice through ongoing studies at The Pilchuk Glass School and The Corning Museum of Glass, internationally renowned centres for glass art education. Lisa's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and in 2009 she was selected to represent Canada at the prestigious Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea.
Glass is the medium I have chosen to express and explore my interests in making art. It is the resolution of interrelated aesthetic and technical challenges that makes glass an exciting and rewarding medium in which to work. - Lisa Samphire
