Formed in 2015 at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, the Viano String Quartet has already proved itself one of North America's most exciting young groups. Guest artists at the UVic School of Music, they are top prize winners in several international competitions, including the 2019 Banff International String Quartet Competition. The Viano Quartet are now the quartet-in-residence at the Colburn School and are performing extensively all over the globe.
This program will include Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 74, No. 1 and Antonín Dvořák’s Quartet in A-flat Major, Op. 105.
