Three Victoria artists present Writ Large - Contemporary Works on Paper
Three Victoria artists draw on their pasts as professional writers and editors to exhibit a collection of large-format works inspired by the emotional and intellectual energy of written language.
Georgina Montgomery, Louise Oborne, and MaryLou Wakefield use words and text as part of their visual language to amplify a compelling idea, question, or life experience personally meaningful to them.
In this series, the artists demonstrate their individual stylistic approaches to interpreting 'Writ Large' and invite viewers to find their own meaning and interpretation in the works.
Writ Large will be on at arc.hive artist run centre October 4 - 19 and open for viewing Saturdays and Sundays from 12 - 4 pm.
An opening reception with the artists in attendance will be on Friday, October 3, from 7 - 9 pm.

Register today for your magical MISSA experience this summer. Our amazing line up of workshops are open for registration, don't miss out on this opportunity to develop your skills as an artist in a supportive creative community setting. MISSA takes place at Pearson College on the shores of Pedder Bay. We are offering 34 workshops and 3 residency opportunities for adult artists at any stage in their learning process - beginners are welcome! Our workshops include ceramics, fibre arts, oil, acrylic and watercolour painting, papier-mâché, sculpture, writing, and drawing on the gorgeous Pearson College campus.
