   Three Victoria artists present Writ Large - Contemporary Works on Paper
   
   Three Victoria artists draw on their pasts as professional writers and editors to exhibit a collection of large-format works inspired by the emotional and intellectual energy of written language.
   Georgina Montgomery, Louise Oborne, and MaryLou Wakefield use words and text as part of their visual language to amplify a compelling idea, question, or life experience personally meaningful to them.
   In this series, the artists demonstrate their individual stylistic approaches to interpreting 'Writ Large' and invite viewers to find their own meaning and interpretation in the works.
   Writ Large will be on at arc.hive artist run centre October 4 - 19 and open for viewing Saturdays and Sundays from 12 - 4 pm.
   An opening reception with the artists in attendance will be on Friday, October 3, from 7 - 9 pm.

   Cordova Bay 55+ Association Art Group – Art Show and Sale
   The Cordova Bay 55+ Association Art Group is having an art show and sale on November 15, 2025, from 10 am – 3 pm.  The event will take place at Cordova Bay Elementary School, 5238 Cordova Bay Road. Group members work in various mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel, collage, mixed media, ink, pen, and pencil. 
   The art show will feature original artwork, art cards, and a wide variety of artistic creations and gifts! This year’s show will also include a Craft Fair put on by the CB55+ Studio Group. There will be lots to see!  Come out and see the work of these very talented artists and find a trinket for Christmas!  Free indoor event and lots of great parking!  Enter a draw for a free gift basket!
   A portion of the proceeds goes to support the CB55+ Association.
