In September 2022, Sandra Froher presented her collection at the International Indigenous Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week.
“Including my hand-made jewelry felt like bringing a piece of Vancouver Island to New York. I was doing this for all of us, raising up the models, honouring my ancestors, bringing forward an elder’s blessing and walking proud within my own living heritage.” Sandra Froher.

The Christmas season is fast approaching and the Victoria Arion Male Choir are preparing for their Saturday December 10th concert, 2PM at the Cordova Bay United Church. Tickets are on sale now and you can get them through choir members or at vamc.ca. Tickets can also be purchased on line through Eventbrite. Attached is our poster and link to Eventbrite. Tickets are $20. Children under 12 free.

We have been on hiatus since March 2020, and now we’re launching a new season of exquisite music collected by director Dr. Elizabeth MacIsaac over the past three years.
Our winter concert, entitled Aurora, presents an uplifting celebration of our journey forward together, a time where we welcome new light, new dawn.
Aurora will include several mystical works of Hildegard von Bingen, Winter Sun by Don MacDonald, Jam! by Tracy Wong, Aurora by Victoria composer Nicholas Fairbank, and Lunar Lullaby by Jacob Navarud.
Two seamless concerts of one hour duration will be held on each of the following afternoons: December 10, 2022, and January 7, 2023, at 1:30 and 3:30 pm. For audience comfort, we will not be selling more than half of available seats, keeping the hall at 50% capacity.
