June 19 - September 18. Every day in Legacy's Sidewalk Gallery, located outside on the Broad Street side of Legacy Downtown.
What's your vibe? This was the question that Jamaican-Canadian photographer, Nathan Smith, asked the youth group, Melanin Magic, during a student-led photo shoot one sunny afternoon in May. In asking this question, the students were posed with the challenge to capture how they were feeling on that day, outside their classroom walls as they looked toward a post-pandemic world. What emerged from these self-directed portraits was their desire to be untethered and fully in the moment of who they were, and who they dream to be.

FLUX media gallery presents:  “IN VISIBLE LINES”, Tues-Fri, noon to 5 pm, 1524 Pandora.
"What does it mean to make oneself visible and take up space? My whole life I seem to have been aiming for the opposite, keeping my head down and trying not to draw attention. It is a narrative woven through the generations of my family history of migration from China to South Africa to Canada.   “In Visible Lines” is informed by these stories of movement and displacement."  (video art installation by artist Gem Chang-Kue)
