The Avenue Gallery is pleased to welcome Victoria sculptor Louise Monfette, whose stylized figurative sculptures celebrate the beauty of human connection. Inspired by her daily seaside walks, Monfette captures quiet, often overlooked moments such as people sitting on benches, gazing at the ocean, resting with their dogs, or meeting a friend. Whether portraying a solitary figure or a couple deep in conversation, her work reflects the connectedness of everyday life.
Monfette studied at the Ontario College of Art and the Victoria College of Art, completing her formal training in 2003. Her sculptures have been exhibited in public and commercial galleries throughout British Columbia.
