Harbour Blues 'n Roots Festival Day Two

Featuring local and international artists in Victoria's Inner Harbour

Free to attend performances during the day, ticketed event at night. Alligator Records’ American electric blues vocalist Shemekia Copeland possesses one of the most instantly recognizable and deeply soulful roots music voices of our time. Daughter of the late blues legend Johnny Copeland, the multi-GRAMMY nominee is honored worldwide for the fearlessness, honesty and humor of her revelatory songs. Her latest Alligator Records release, Blame It On Eve, came out in 2024. She’s sung with Bonnie Raitt, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana, Dr. John, James Cotton and more, and has shared a bill with The Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Buddy Guy, Trombone Shorty, Gary Clark, Jr. and more. She has showcased on PBS’s Austin City Limits, and was featured in a six-minute story on the PBS News Hour. In April 2022, she performed at the United Nations General Assembly Hall to a worldwide audience of millions as part of International Jazz Day celebrations. Don’t miss her Victoria debut at Harbour Blues ‘n Roots Festival 2025!

Opening for this evening will be Nanaimo’s up-and-coming blues-rocking collective James Vickers Band.
