PIDC Dissemination Three at the Victoria Arts Council's Pat Martin Bates Gallery

Join us for the third presentation of work, Dissemination Three, from the Physical Intersections Digital Collaborations Project at the Victoria Arts Council's Pat Martin Bates Gallery.

Featuring artists Amber Downie-Back, Ebony Rose, Evan Locke, Melissa Flagg, Jane Chan, Lee Ingram, Art Action Earwig, Kayla Henry, Valerie Salez, Nicole Mandryk, and Owen Fairbairn, Dissemination Three presents a diversity of work including new collaborative work and individual experimentation from the artists, as well as revisits previously presented collaborative work. Overarching themes include liminal space, our connection to the land, climate anxiety, the body and movement, and the exploration of emerging technologies including generative AI and Augmented Reality.

More details including an Opening/Closing celebration event are to come soon—stay tuned on pidcproject.ca and vicartscouncil.ca for more information.

The Physical Intersections Digital Collaborations Project brings together 11 multidisciplinary artists from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, supported by a project team to create and share work for both physical and digital spaces. The artists will work individually and in collaborative groups to create unique works or evolve works in iterative phases over 16 months. The PIDC Community Partners include Xchanges Gallery & Studios, FLUX Media Gallery, Victoria Arts Council, and Dance Victoria in Victoria, BC.

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
