   Broadway in Victoria announces the Victoria premiere of the award-winning Broadway musical TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, on stage from January 6-11, 2026, at Victoria’s Royal Theatre (805 Broughton St). Lauded as “something everybody everywhere should come see” by New York Magazine, TINA - The Tina Turner Musical is the inspiring true story of a woman who defied racism, sexism, and ageism to become the global Queen of Rock ‘n Roll. This smash-hit stage production celebrates Tina Turner’s incredible talent and triumphant rise from a small-town girl with a big voice to an international icon, and features some of her biggest hits: “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “Proud Mary,” “The Best,” and “River Deep – Mountain High,” and many more.    Three Victoria artists present Writ Large - Contemporary Works on Paper
   
   Three Victoria artists draw on their pasts as professional writers and editors to exhibit a collection of large-format works inspired by the emotional and intellectual energy of written language.
   Georgina Montgomery, Louise Oborne, and MaryLou Wakefield use words and text as part of their visual language to amplify a compelling idea, question, or life experience personally meaningful to them.
   In this series, the artists demonstrate their individual stylistic approaches to interpreting 'Writ Large' and invite viewers to find their own meaning and interpretation in the works.
   Writ Large will be on at arc.hive artist run centre October 4 - 19 and open for viewing Saturdays and Sundays from 12 - 4 pm.
   An opening reception with the artists in attendance will be on Friday, October 3, from 7 - 9 pm.
