   Born in Shizuoka, Japan, Minori Takagi brings traditional Japanese glasswork to life with a modern, West Coast twist. Since moving to Vancouver in 2006, she has developed a signature style of “wearable art,” blending ancient lampworking techniques with contemporary design inspired by the city’s natural beauty. Her award-winning jewellery, handcrafted from both soft and borosilicate glass, is known for its elegance, resilience, and radiant light-catching forms.

   In the spirit of ideas change everything, TED created a program called TEDx. TEDx represents local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxVictoria, where x = independently organized TED event.
   At our TEDxVictoria event, live speakers and entertainers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
