Join us for a provocative and engaging showcase of new artistic works from a variety of disciplines including music, dance, and theatre. March 7 | 7:30pm
March 8 | 7:30pm Each evening of the festival is a collection of different works created by CCPA students. The Festival of New Works is part of CCPA’s Creative Mentorship Program, which allows students to expand their artistic leadership in a discipline of their choice. Students explore roles such as a Director, Deviser, Choreographer, Composer, Filmmaker, or Writer, to develop their project from concept to performance. All tickets are pay-what-you-can ($5 minimum in advance). All seating is general admission. Tickets available at ccpacanada.com/tickets

Over four Sundays from February 9 through April 13, Flower Art Fusions explores the art of flowers and flowers in art from the garden to the fresco, manuscript, altar, canvas, and vase. Beginning with an historical overview of flowers in Western art, talks will focus on flowers in Canadian art, floral colour theory in Impressionism and beyond, and flowers in Japanese painting.
Featuring Dr. Betsy Tumasonis, February 9; The Honourable Patricia Bovey, February 23; Christen Geall, March 2; in the Spencer Room of the AGGV; and Dr. Ignacio Adriasola (via Zoom), April 13. Moderator, arts writer Liam Lacey.
