Bruce Edmundson began wood carving in the early 1990s while working in the forest industry, focusing on timber development and silviculture. His deep appreciation for high-quality wood naturally evolved from his experience in the forests of British Columbia. He developed a particular fascination with locally exotic and unusual woods, with burls capturing his special interest. These unique growths, found on many trees, showcase the striking and distinctive features that people admire in wood, often to an extraordinary degree.

Four Friends Having Fun is in its 9th year! Local artists Linda Butcher, Karen Wilk, Lois Kissinger and Shirley Sarens are setting up their art studio at ArtSea Gallery in Sidney and painting together, laughing and welcoming visitors to visit and watch them create Enjoy browsing their art work in a wide range of styles and mediums.
