    ★★★★ “Bewitching…” Time Out NY
Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story is a tender and delicate tale woven inside a high-energy concert led by the boisterous international Klezmer sensation, Ben Caplan. This musical played for one week during our 2019 SPARK Festival—and that was simply not enough for a show as astounding as this!
★★★★ “Stylish, playful and clever…Irresistible “The Scotsman
A truly original, captivating, wise and glorious exploration of human resilience and survival. Inspired by the true story of Hannah Moscovitch’s great-grandparents, this triumphant musical has toured internationally, garnering awards across Canada, Australia, and the UK.
★★★★ “Richly humorous, wildly entertaining and deeply moving.” The Globe & Mail
Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story runs from April 18 – May 14 with Pay What You Want tickets available for all performances.

Join Victoria’s premier women’s choir for this bright, enlivening, musical burst of spring! Wellspring showcases pieces from modern female Canadian composers, several of which were composed for Ensemble Laude. These feature commissions by Sarah Quartel, including her Sanctum: A Requiem on Vancouver Island and How Can I Keep from Singing, and a new arrangement of A la claire fontaine by our own Dr. Elizabeth MacIsaac, Artistic Director.
Exciting pieces such as Jam! by Tracy Wong, The Arrow and the Song by Laura Hawley, and Okâwîmâw Askiy (Mother Earth) by Cree-Dene composer Sherryl Sewapagaham are layered with the haunting La belle se promene by Meghan Quinlan and Aer enim volat by Hildegard von Bingen.
Repertoire from Wellspring will be included in Ensemble Laude’s first major recording project in over ten years, as we create a new album in June!

A celebration of a cappella, four-part harmony, featuring the South Island’s leading exponents of the art - South Island Harmony male chorus, Pacific Edge award-winning female chorus, and the area's leading quartet, Trounce Alley.
Audiences will be treated to that full-body tingle that derives from the blend of soaring voices, ringing chords, and thrilling close harmony.
South Island Harmony’s first Spring Show in three years, the programme will feature brand new repertoire and some old favourites – “Nostalgia meets Nouveau” – covering popular music genres over many decades.
This is also the first full-repertoire show featuring our outstanding new Director, Kinza Tyrrell. Kinza is a classically trained Music PhD with a phenomenal resume of participation in international opera programmes.
We are honored to welcome Pacific Edge to our stage. This international award-winning chorus is made up of educators, health care workers, administrative assistants, housewives, accountants, artists, beauticians, retirees, students, IT specialists, mothers and daughters.
The mighty Trounce Alley Quartet entertains audiences all over the South Island with a diverse repertoire, singing everything from old Barbershop classics to modern movie theme songs.
And since the show takes place on Mother’s Day weekend, all Mothers can expect a beautiful memory to cherish for years to come.
