   A passionate landscape painter, Maria Josenhans creates oil paintings both outdoors on location and in her North Vancouver studio. Maria considers the landscape as her garden, a place of connecting with beauty that gives rise to something new and reaches beyond daily concerns. Whether it is a grand vista or an intimate pool by a stream, her aim is not to have the viewer experience what she sees and feels, but to create a space that shares a tender tribute to the ordinary.

   The Studio 30 Art Club is having an art show from November 11-17 at the Sidney ArtSea Gallery!  The Studio 30 Art Club is a local non-profit society that has been supporting Victoria-area artists for over 40 years.  Club members work in various mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, and mixed media. The art show will feature original artwork, art cards, and artist demonstrations.  Come and see the work of these talented artists and start your Christmas shopping early.  Enter a free draw to win a basket of art-related products!  Free admission!

   A brand new Christmas artisans market bursts on the scene in Sidney
   Start a new tradition on your festive calendar this November 18th and 19th at St Paul’s United Church right here in Sidney. Our holiday arts and craft fair proudly hosts handmade works of craftspeople, artisans, makers, and bakers for two days of relaxing and festive fun. Buy a gift for a friend or a treat for yourself this Christmas!
   Vendors come from Sidney and North Saanich, Brentwood, Sooke and Victoria and include artists such as Peter Demchuk, Heather Corbitt, Wendy Duffield, and Meaghan Crow, who will be selling items ranging from wooden bowls and jewelry to pottery, fabric arts, paintings, and more! Enjoy coffee, tea and homemade baking while you shop. 100% of market sales will go to the artists.
   Visitors have free access to the market and there is plenty of free parking. The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users and to those with mobility needs.
   The market has been organized by volunteers from the St. Paul’s community who are also deeply connected to Sidney’s arts and culture scene.
