Without Bob McMinn, and others, such as his son-in-law Scott Richardson, the current chairperson of the HDCA, the Highlands would indeed look more like Langford and not like the forest oasis that it is. But we need more people to be become active and involved in the future of our community. The strip mine that the Sangha family (OK Industries) is hell bent to put right beside Thetis Lake Park will eradicate 54 acres of well established forest teaming with wildlife and a 700 year old Douglas fir .The greed of industry and corporations will destroy what we all need. Healthy intact ecosystems that will ensure a future for us and all children through carbon sequestration and oxygen production. Don't be a greedy bugger, be like Bob.
