Black History Month BRUNCH-CONFERENCE

The African Arts & Culture Society is planning to host a community forum focused on the International Decade for People of African Descent. The forum will tackle the following topics: 

  •  Black Ownership & Generating Wealth, 
  • Media Representation & Arts,

  • Black Identity,

  • Mental & Physical Health, 

  • Accessing Justice & Community Safety,

  • Migration and Inclusion,

  • Education,

  • Democratic Engagement,

  • Access to Affordable Housing and Shelter.

 The Decade is significant as it promotes respect, protection, and fulfilment of human rights of people of African Descent. We believe that this event is in line with the objectives of celebrating Black History Month.

 Black History Month is an opportunity for all Canadians to learn about the  many contributions Black Canadians have made to Canada. We invite you to join us on February 6 & 7 as we are discussion on the International Decade for People of African Descent. 

On February 7,  
on the spirit of Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): Let's build a strong community by solving our problems together.

This event is an opportunity us to network and socialize while being empowered in our cultural identities.
