Join the UVic Wind Symphony, conducted by Steven Capaldo, in a program that explores the concepts of time and space, from early works written for wind band to innovative and modern pieces that push the boundaries of our expectations. The program will include works by Gordon Jacob, Julie Giroux, Peter Meechan and Katherine Bergman.
The UVic Wind Symphony is recognized as one of the premier performing wind ensembles in the Pacific Northwest. The Wind Symphony regularly features student, faculty and guest solo artists, collaborates annually with the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy, and has given numerous Canadian and world premieres of contemporary works.
