Frenetic and hyper-space-energetic, Ross condenses 12 hours of cinematic magic into a 75 minute intermission-less marathon. Your imagination will run wild as Charles single-handedly re-enacts the plots of three Star Wars films (Star Wars IV, V and VI), producing vivid characters, sound effects, the iconic musical soundtrack and opening scrolls that will have you envisioning the Movies with Ross’s words. Ross crafts a shared experience with his successful blend of physical comedy and quick wit, which will have audiences cheering and laughing along.
An UVic Phoenix Theatre alum, Ross started performing his One Man Star Wars Trilogy in 2001 and has since toured around the globe, performing to more than 1 million fans in London’s West End, at the Sydney Opera House, off-Broadway in New York and even in Dubai. The show also had a month-long sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. To mark the release of “Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith” in 2005, Lucasfilm invited Ross to perform at the official movie release convention, Celebration 3. Ross has also appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, CBS’s Late Late Show and performed for the likes of Sir Ian McKellen, Vin Diesel and many other celebrities.
One Man Star Wars Trilogy is performed with permission of Lucasfilm Ltd. This show is fast paced, very funny, and suitable for ages 6 to Yoda!
As part of the event, the Farquhar at UVic will host a pre-show comic-con style panel discussing Star Wars and its cultural impacts. There will also be a costume contest with prizes so audience members are encouraged to dress up!
