Harbour of Hope Refugee Assistance Society is a small group of individuals committed to making a difference in the world, one life, one family at a time, through the sponsorship and successful integration of refugees in our community.
Harbour of Hope has currently undertaken sponsorship of two families, and it is a very real possibility that both families could arrive in Victoria in the next six months, as both have entered the interview process with Canadian Immigration.
Harbour of Hope is blessed with a Matching Donor. Tim Smith, principal of Westrek Geotechnical Services, is marking his company’s 20th anniversary with a $50,000 matching donation to Harbour of Hope. Mr. Smith immigrated to Canada in 1987 and strongly believes that our country is strengthened by immigration and diversity.
The upcoming Swinging Spring Soirée will be the major fundraising event of this Matching Donor campaign. Harbour of Hope is a Canadian registered charity and donations will be issued a tax receipt.
