After years of touring together, decorated Canadian artists Elizabeth Shepherd and Michael Occhipinti have teamed up to create ES:MO - a musical duo focused on genreless creativity and exploration. Their album The Weight of Hope received a 2022 Juno nomination for “Vocal Jazz Album of The Year.” With extensive musical backgrounds, international acclaim, and a lengthy list of prestigious awards and nominations, namely, their combined fifteen Juno nominations, both artists have had successful, independent careers before embarking on their new venture. Shepherd, a multi-dimensional vocalist/pianist, has twice been long-listed for the Polaris Prize and has performed at the Hollywood Bowl and Auditorium Parco della Musica. Occhipinti, a versatile, creative guitarist, has performed with jazz legends such as Don Byron and Sam Rivers, as well as Bruce Cockburn, DVSN, and the Barenaked Ladies. Now, they have teamed up to create an album of re-imagined musical works and atmospheric, compelling original music.

The Robert Bateman: Heart & Home exhibit illuminates the inspirations, connections and soul of an artist steeped in nature. The collection is comprised of extraordinary artwork and pieces, some never-before-seen and meant for an audience of one. It captures the intimate occasions of birthdays, holidays, and the love that Robert Bateman shares with his close family and friends. Just like capturing the fleeting moments of light in the natural world, Robert savours the moments of creating gifts to express his care.
Step into Robert’s studio and be immersed in the artist’s space. In the next room, you’ll enter a Bateman Christmas in the 90s with a 54” sculpted Nutcracker with a mischievous grin standing beside a handcrafted Christmas crèche. The journey continues with paintings, drawings, and furniture pieces gifted to loved ones.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00 PM. Late night admission by donation every third Thursday of the month from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
    Tickets at door only: Children (0-4) $0, Youth (5-16) $6, Seniors/Students $8.50, Adults $10.

“Particularly on his own compositions, Mr. Ross and the band treat rhythm as both fundamental and unfixed, while dousing the music in harmonies derived from modern gospel.” — The New York Times
Brooklyn-based composer and rising star Joel Ross is the most thrilling new vibraphonist in America. Ross is basically a living blur of mallets, talent, and ideas. In 2019, he joined the Blue Note Records roster, adding his name to an illustrious jazz vibraphone legacy on the label that extends from Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson to Stefon Harris. In 2019, Ross released his debut on Blue Note, KingMaker, with the five-piece band he calls Good Vibes. Now, Ross has topped the DownBeat Critics Poll Rising Star category for vibraphone — graduating beyond the Rising Star to well-honed artist in 2021 after releasing his 2020 album, Who Are You?. The Parable of the Poet, Ross’ third album for Blue Note Records is set to release in spring 2022.

“Bold Canadian drummer Ernesto Cervini exemplifies ‘float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.’” – Downbeat Magazine
Ernesto Cervini is one of the most exciting and electric drummers in North America. He has been leading the wave of Canadian modern jazz for the last 10 years, whether it’s with his quartet, sextet Turboprop, or the trios Myriad3 and TuneTown. Tetrahedron is an exciting new addition to his roster, featuring two of Canada’s top improvisers (Luis Deniz on alto saxophone and Rich Brown on electric bass), and special guest, guitar phenomenon Nir Felder from New York City. The group plays originals as well as rearranged standards in an engaging, toe-tapping, highly entertaining way which has been described as “brilliant” and “masterful.” It’s a groovy, energetic trip!
