ALL VOICES CAN SING! ALL VOICES ARE WELCOME!
The Gettin Higher Choir’s
2018 Spring Season is about to start...
"Group singing is cheaper than therapy, healthier than drinking, and certainly more fun than working out!"
~ Stacey Horn, author of the book "Imperfect Harmony"
From first time singers to all-the-timers, from the hesitant to the eager, from the nervous to the confident the Gettin' Higher Choir welcomes all voices.
We are a no-audition community choir co-directed by Donnelly, Cathy Baker & Dick Jackson. We invite everyone who would like to sing more in their lives to come sing with us at any of our no-audition, no-obligation New Singers Intake Evenings for our upcoming Spring season.
We have 6 New Singers Intakes between Feb. 19th & Mar. 1st. Two on the Saanich Peninsula and four in James Bay. For full information see our " When, Where & How" http://www.gettinhigherchoir.ca/choir_life document but here are the basics:
New Singers Orientations 7:00 to 7:30 each night followed by singing with the choir from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Feel free to bring any interested companions.
Mondays Feb. 19 & 26
First Unitarian Church of Victoria, 5575 West Saanich Road (opposite the Red Barn)
Tuesdays Feb. 20 & 27
Thursdays Feb. 22 & Mar. 1
Church of Truth, 111 Superior Street (at St. Lawrence Street by Fisherman’s Wharf)
We are not associated with any particular religion or spiritual path but we do seek to embrace and celebrate humanity's highest aspirations through music, welcoming people of all ages and cultures and singing songs from many eras and areas.
We are a member supported choir with fees of $175 per season. Our policy, however, is that no one misses choir because of money and we have financial supports available for those who need them.
If you choose to join us in our singing circle you will be welcomed with open voices!
For more information about our singing community visit: http://www.gettinhigherchoir.ca (and be sure to visit the Choir Life section)
Are you singing enough?
