Lawyers on Stage: The Snow Queen
“Winter is coming!” And the lawyers are back. Back on stage that is after a five-year hiatus. Lawyers on Stage (aka LOST) will perform a modern adaptation of The Snow Queen at the Langham Court Theatre, Dec 7-9, 2017 as a fundraiser for the Victoria Single Parent resource Centre and TLC (Fund for Kids) as well as a small bursary for a UVic theatre and law student in financial need. Director Kate Rubin and her production team have begun rehearsals. Originally penned by Hans Christian Andersen, Rubin’s adaptation is a modern satire that has at its core, thematic material such as greed, corruption, and the power of love.
Performances are 8pm Dec 7, 8, 9, with 2pm matinee Dec 9. Tickets go on sale Nov 1. Adults $27; Seniors $22; Students $15—at 250-384-2142, or , or in person 805 Langham Court (Mon-Fri, 12-4pm).
