Colours of Summer VIII
Colours of Summer VIII is a group exhibition featuring new works by Madrona’s contemporary stable of artists, recent acquisitions of important historic Canadian art, and carvings from throughout the Arctic. Works will rotate every two weeks. Shown here is a work by Meghan Hildebrand who lives in Powell River and describes her paintings as “story-maps of the imagination.” With her unique vocabulary of symbols, she translates the landscape into electrifying dreamscape scenarios, each image alluding to a much larger narrative. 606 View St, 250-380-4660, www.madronagallery.com.
