ARTISTS: Indigenous Artists Collective
EVENT: Indigenous Artists Collective Inaugural Meeting

On May 30th at 6:00 pm at Open Space Arts Society, founding members of the Indigenous Artists Collective (IAC) will host an information session, a call for membership, and a celebration the inauguration of the IAC.

From 6:00 to 8:00 pm a meeting will take place to discuss and collectively envision the future of IAC. If you identify as an Indigenous person with a creative practice, you are invited to to share your thoughts, visions and ideas about how participating in an Indigenous arts collective could benefit you, your practice, and your community.

From 8:00 to 9:00 pm the collective will introduce this year’s iteration of the Indigenous Emerging Artists Program (formerly the Indigenous Youth Arts Program) and its exciting line-up of workshops and programming facilitated by a new group of acclaimed Indigenous mentor artiists.

Food and refreshments will be served at 6:00 pm.

The Indigenous Artists Collective wishes to acknowledge that it is located on unceded and occupied Coast Salish Territories, specifically, the lands of the Lekwungen speaking people, the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations.
